Enable "Hierarchical branch layout" in the repository view.
Open a branch selection dialog (e.g. Switch to > Other).
Type "origin/master" in the filter.

There are zero results, because the filter works directly on the node labels. I.e. the filter _does_ match with non-hierarchical layout, but _does not_ match with hierarchical layout.

To fix this, also check whether the ref name matches (for ref nodes) in addition to checking the node label.
