Select only the predefined ref filter containing [CURRENT-BRANCH]. The history is always empty.

Are you on a detached head? Probably this current-branch setting should have a fallback to HEAD if in detached head state.

Nope. The replacement of the macro just doesn't work correctly, according to a very short debugging session. Haven't started any changes yet, since "typical Saturday work" like cleaning and repairing has higher priority. :)

Exact. I'm working on patch, will push soon (will also address bug  553124 concern).
